McGinn returning to Wolves

The Chicago Wolves announced Wednesday that veteran forward Tye McGinn has signed an AHL contract to return to the team for the 2019-20 season.

The 29-year-old McGinn totaled 12 goals and six assists for 18 points in 62 AHL games between Chicago and Manitoba last season. He added six goals and seven assists for 13 points with a team-leading plus-6 rating in 22 postseason games to help the Wolves win the Western Conference championship.

McGinn has played 373 regular-season games over seven AHL seasons with Chicago, Manitoba, Tucson, Syracuse and Adirondack, totaling 98 goals and 85 assists for 183 points. He has 11 goals and 18 assists for 29 points in 50 playoff games, reaching the Calder Cup Finals with Chicago (2019) and Syracuse (2017).

A fourth-round pick by Philadelphia in the 2010 NHL Draft, McGinn has collected nine goals and eight assists in 89 career NHL outings with the Flyers, San Jose, Arizona and Tampa Bay.
