OHL Roundup: Luke Evangelista keeps Knights’ seven-game win streak alive

OWEN SOUND, Ont. – Luke Evangelista scored twice to power the London Knights past the Owen Sound Attack 4-1 on Wednesday in Ontario Hockey League play.

The Knights have won seven straight to begin their season.

Max McCue and Colton Smith added goals for London (7-0-0), while Brett Brochu made 32 saves for the win.

Deni Goure replied for Owen Sound (2-5-1) and Corbin Votary stopped 31-of-34 shots.

The Knights were 2 for 4 on the power play and the Attack were 1 for 3 with the man advantage.

SPIRIT 4 FIREBIRDS 1

SAGINAW, Mich. — Dalton Duhart struck twice, including one short-handed goal, to lift the Spirit over Flint.

Josh Bloom and Dean Loukus had the other goals for Saginaw (4-1-1).

Amadeus Lombardi was the lone scorer for the Firebirds (2-2-0).

GREYHOUNDS 3 RANGERS 1

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. — Marc Boudreau put away the eventual winner early in the second period as the Greyhounds fended off Kitchener.

Cole MacKay and Tanner Dickinson had the other goals for Sault Ste. Marie (6-3-0).

Carson Rehkopf responded for the Rangers (5-2-0).
