Gulls heading back to postseason

The San Diego Gulls clinched a spot in the 2019 Calder Cup Playoffs on Friday night.

The Gulls dropped a 4-3 overtime decision in Tucson, but benefited from Colorado’s 3-1 loss to San Jose to secure their third postseason appearance in four years of existence.

The AHL’s 2018-19 regular season ends Sunday, and six postseason spots are still up for grabs. For more information and daily updates on the Calder Cup Playoff races, check out the official AHL Playoff Primer.
