Dano returns to Blue Jackets organization

The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed center Marko Dano to a one-year, two-way contract for the 2019-20 season.

Dano, 24, was originally selected by the Blue Jackets in the first round (27th overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft.

The sixth-year pro skated in 51 AHL games with the Manitoba Moose last season, recording 12 goals and 18 assists for 30 points, and also appeared in eight NHL games with the Colorado Avalanche.

A native of Eisenstradt, Austria, Dano has collected 19 goals and 26 assists for 45 points in 138 NHL contests with Columbus, Chicago, Winnipeg and Colorado. He has also played 140 games in the AHL with Springfield, Rockford and Manitoba, totaling 29 goals and 51 assists for 80 points.
