Hurricanes agree to terms with Priskie

The Carolina Hurricanes have agreed to terms with defenseman Chase Priskie on a two-year, entry-level contract.

Priskie, 23, completed his collegiate career at Quinnipiac University last season, recording 17 goals and 22 assists for 39 points in 36 games and leading all Division I defensemen in goals. Priskie, who served as team captain in his junior and senior seasons, was a Top Ten finalist for the Hobey Baker Award in 2019 and was named to the ECAC Hockey First Team. He was also an ECAC Hockey All-Academic selection in each of his four seasons at Quinnipiac.

A native of Pembroke Pines, Fla., Priskie ranks first in Quinnipiac program history in goals by a defenseman. He was originally selected by Washington in the sixth round, 177th overall, of the 2016 NHL Draft.
