Taylor set to return to Amerks

Chris Taylor is returning to the Rochester Americans and will resume his role as head coach next week, the Buffalo Sabres announced Saturday.

Taylor has served as an assistant coach under Sabres head coach Ralph Krueger since the start of the 2019-20 season, filling in for Don Granato as Granato recovered from illness.

Amerks assistant coach Gord Dineen has been running the Rochester bench in Taylor’s absence, and has helped guide the club to a record of 11-3-1-2 (25 points).
