Zibanejad, Landeskog, Draisaitl named NHL’s three stars of the week

New York Rangers centre Mika Zibanejad, Colorado Avalanche left-wing Gabriel Landeskog and Edmonton Oilers centre Leon Draisaitl are the NHL’s three stars of the week.

Zibanejad topped the NHL with seven goals in three games to help the Rangers move within three points of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. He scored five goals, including the overtime winner, in a 6-5 victory against the Washington Capitals on Thursday.

Landeskog led the NHL with nine points (three goals, six assists) in four games to power the Avalanche to a 2-1-1 week and within two points of first place in the Central Division.

Draisaitl placed second in the NHL with eight points (four goals, four assists) in four games as the Oilers went 3-1-0 to move within two points of first place in the Pacific Division. Draisaitl posted his first career four-goal game and second career five-point performance in an 8-3 win over Nashville on March 2.
