QMJHL Roundup: Oceanic blank Drakkar 2-0 for first win of season

RIMOUSKI, Que. – Raphael Audet made 31 saves, and the Rimouski Oceanic blanked the Baie-Comeau Drakkar 2-0 on Friday for their first win of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League season.

Justin Bergeron had a goal and an assist to help Rimouski halt a seven-game winless streak to begin the 2020-21 campaign.

William Dumoulin also found the back of the net for the Oceanic (1-5-2), with both goals coming seven minutes apart in the first period.

Lukas Fitzpatrick kicked out 28-of-30 shots for the Drakkar (3-4-0).

ROUYN-NORANDA, Que. — Marc-Antoine Seguin had a pair of goals and Samuel Richard stopped 26 shots as the Huskies (2-4-1) snapped a four-game skid by shutting out winless Sherbrooke (0-4-0).

SYDNEY, N.S. — Defenceman Nathan Larose struck twice and Nicolas Ruccia turned away 35 shots as Cape Breton (5-6-0) dealt Acadie-Bathurst (7-2-2) a third straight loss.

HALIFAX — Elliot Desnoyers broke a 4-4 tie at 19:24 of the third with his fourth goal of the game, and the Mooseheads (4-5-2) edged league-leading Charlottetown (8-2-0), which had its five-game win streak snapped.

WILDCATS 4 SEA DOGS 3

MONCTON, N.B. — Philippe Daoust scored twice, and Alexis Daniel potted the go-ahead goal at 8:23 of the third as the Wildcats (5-4-0) topped Saint John (2-5-3) for their fourth straight victory.
