QUEBEC – Olivier Nadeau sparked a third-period comeback, then potted the winner in overtime as the Shawinigan Cataractes slipped past the Chicoutimi Sagueneens 3-2 on Wednesday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
Shawinigan entered the third down 2-0 before Nadeau cut the deficit in half 2:10 into the period, and Xavier Bourgault tied the game at 12:47.
Nadeau completed the comeback with his second goal of the game at 1:04 of the extra period for the Cataractes (5-3-1), who got 27 saves from Antoine Coulombe.
Samuel Houde and Vincent Levesque scored for Chicoutimi (5-1-4), which still earned a point and is 3-0-3 in its last six games.
Alexis Shank stopped 23-of-26 shots for the Sagueneens.
The Cataractes and Sagueneens are two of seven teams currently playing a series of games in a bubble at the Videotron Centre in an effort to complete a 60-game season during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Bubble play, which will see every team play six games — one against each of the other teams, began Nov. 21 and ends Nov. 27.

QUEBEC CITY — William Dufour, Daniel Agostino and Jeremy Lapointe each had a pair of goals, and Francesco Lapenna kicked out 26-of-28 shots in two periods of relief for the win, as Drummondville (5-3-1) topped the Remparts (3-2-2).
