Condors ink Peluso, add rookie Desharnais

The Bakersfield Condors announced today that the team has signed right wing Anthony Peluso to a one-year AHL contract and defenseman Vincent Desharnais to a two-year AHL contract.

Peluso skated in 35 AHL games with the Stockton Heat in 2018-19, notching three goals and five assists along with 56 penalty minutes. He also appeared in four NHL games with the Calgary Flames.

Originally a sixth-round choice by St. Louis in the 2007 NHL Draft, Peluso has appeared in 276 AHL games over 10 pro seasons with Stockton, Hershey, Manitoba and Peoria, recording 25 goals and 25 assists for 50 points along with 472 PIM.

Peluso has totaled four goals, 10 assists and 220 PIM in 148 NHL contests with Calgary, Washington and Winnipeg.

Desharnais, 23, completed his collegiate career at Providence College in 2018-19, tallying five goals, eight assists and a plus-22 rating in 42 games as a senior. He was voted the best defensive defenseman in the Hockey East conference.

A native of Laval, Que., Desharnais was a seventh-round choice by Edmonton in the 2016 NHL Draft.
