Tangradi returning to Griffins

The Grand Rapids Griffins on Friday signed forward Eric Tangradi to a one-year contract.

Tangradi began the 2019-20 season with Astana Barys of the Kontinental Hockey League, appearing in 22 games.

Tangradi, an AHL All-Star in 2011, has appeared in 467 career AHL games over nine seasons between 2009 and 2019, totaling 160 goals and 180 assists for 340 points. He had 164 points in 200 games with the Griffins from 2015-18 and won a Calder Cup championship in 2017.

A second-round choice by Anaheim in the 2007 NHL Draft, Tangradi has skated in 150 NHL games with Pittsburgh, Winnipeg, Montreal, Detroit and New Jersey, recording five goals and 11 assists for 16 points.
