AHL On The Beat

Au Coeur du Rocket is a new documentary web series that will take sports fans on a journey through the life of the Montreal Canadiens’ American Hockey League affiliate, the Laval Rocket. Through interviews and behind-the-scenes footage, the Rocket will bring you where all sports fans have dreamed of going.

Hockey is more than a sport; it’s a community that goes beyond the game on the ice and brings people together. For the second episode of Au Coeur du Rocket, fans will go behind the scenes of the Rocket’s six-game win streak and listen to players talk about their drive and passion for the game and their community.

This episode will take viewers on an emotional journey as they will watch the Rocket prepare for their annual Hockey Fights Cancer game. Captain Xavier Ouellet, Jake Evans, Josh Brook, Joe Cox and Maxim Lamarche get their heads shaved for a great cause. The audience will watch forward Alexandre Alain read to first- and second-graders during the team’s first school visit of the year for their Read for Fun with the Rocket program. Finally, viewers will also witness a heartfelt and never-before-seen moment between head coach Joel Bouchard and the players.
