Victoriaville Tigres roll past Halifax Mooseheads 5-2

SCOTIABANK CENTRE, HALIFAX — Brooklyn Kalmikov scored two goals leading the Victoriaville Tigres to a 5-2 victory over the Halifax Mooseheads in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action. Mikhail Abramov added three assists for the Tigres.

The Tigres led 3-2 at the end of the first period led by goals from Vincent Sévigny, Kalmikov and Alexander Peresunko. Landon Miron and Senna Peeters scored for the Mooseheads.

The second period was scoreless. In the third period Victoriaville padded their lead to 5-2 after goals from Kalmikov and Conor Frenette.

ON THE POWER PLAY: The Tigres scored once in two opportunities while the Mooseheads failed to score in four opportunities.
