HALIFAX – Elliot Desnoyers scored three times to reach the 20-goal mark, and the Halifax Mooseheads downed the Cape Breton Eagles 6-1 on Thursday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League play.
Zachary L’Heureux scored once and set up two more while Jordan Dumais tacked on three assists for the Mooseheads (13-15-7), who also got goals from Landon Miron and Cameron Whynot.
Emile Hegarty-Aubin was the lone scorer for the Eagles (12-22-1), who entered the night 1-8-1 in their last 10 games.
Alexis Gravel made 22 saves for Halifax as Nicolas Ruccia stopped 32-of-38 shots for Cape Breton.
