Chyzowski scores twice as Portland Winterhawks defeat the Calgary Hitmen 4-1

PORTLAND, Ore. – Kyle Chyzowski scored twice as the Portland Winterhawks defeated the Calgary Hitmen 4-1 on Tuesday night.

Luke Schelter and Josh Zakreski had the other goals for Portland. Winterhawks netminder Dante Giannuzzi saved 33 of 34 shots.

Keagan Slaney scored for Calgary. Hitmen goaltender Brayden Peters stopped 36 of 40 shots.

Elsewhere around the Western Hockey League, Kalan Lind scored twice as the Red Deer Rebels downed the Edmonton Oil Kings 4-1.

Connor Hvidston scored a goal and had two assists as the Swift Current Broncos beat the Brandon Wheat Kings 4-2.

Carson Latimer had the game-winning goal at 5:14 of the second period as the Prince Alberta Raiders edged the Moose Jaw Warriors 2-1.
