Remparts top Olympiques 3-1 to complete sweep, book trip to QMJHL finals

GATINEAU, Que. – William Rousseau had 30 saves and the Quebec Remparts topped the Gatineau Olympiques 3-1 on Wednesday to book their trip to the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League finals.

Justin Robidas, Charle Truchon, Vsevolod Komarov, with an empty-net goal, scored for Quebec, which swept the best-of-seven semifinal series.

Alexis Gendron had the lone marker for Gatineau, opening the scoring just nine seconds into the contest.

Francesco Lapenna stopped 29-of-31 shots in the loss.

The Remparts will next face the winner of the other semifinal series between the Sherbrooke Phoenix and Halifax Mooseheads.

Sherbrooke is up 2-1 in that series with Game 4 set to be played on Thursday.
