The California county where the San Jose Sharks’ home arena is located, is prohibiting all large gatherings of more than 1,000 people due to rising rates of COVID-19, the illness caused by the coronavirus. The ban will take effect on Wednesday, March 11 at midnight PT and will remain in place for three weeks, according to the County of Santa Clara Public Health
