Agozzino leads Eagles into win column

Andrew Agozzino scored three goals, lifting Colorado to a 4-1 win over Bakersfield in Game 2 of their series on Saturday night.

The best-of-five Pacific Division semifinal is tied at 1-1 as it shifts to Bakersfield, where the Condors will host Game 3 on Tuesday.

Julien Nantel, who scored once in 45 regular-season games, found the net 2:22 into the game to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead.

Agozzino wired home a wrist shot on a shorthanded rush 9:30 into the second period to make it 2-0, and after Ethan Bear got the Condors on the board early in the third, it was Agozzino restoring Colorado’s two-goal lead with a snap shot from the left-wing dot on a power play at 12:29.

Agozzino completed the hat trick with an empty-net goal with 9.9 seconds remaining.

Pavel Francouz made 28 saves to pick up the win for the Eagles. Shane Starrett stopped 17 shots for the Condors.
