Game 5 of the Pacific Division Finals goes tonight as Bakersfield hosts San Diego… The Gulls need one more win to advance to the conference finals for the first time in club history after last night’s 4-2 victory in Game 4… Adam Cracknell scored twice and Jeff Glass made 26 saves to spark the Gulls to the first win by a home team in the series… Cracknell (6-5-11), who missed Game 1 last Friday, has 4-4-8 in the last three contests… Glass (5-2, 2.46, .915) rebounded from giving up seven goals in Game 3 and allowed two or less for the sixth time in his eight appearances this postseason… Glass owns a .928 save percentage (7-3, 2.17) in 11 playoff appearances over the last two springs with San Diego and Rockford… Sam Carrick (4-6-10) notched a goal and an assist in Game 4, scoring the goal that put the Gulls ahead for good early in the second period… Kevin Roy (1-1-2), playing just his second game of the playoffs and 16th game overall in 2018-19, netted one of San Diego’s two power-play goals last night… Defensemen Ryan Stanton (2-1-3) and Keegan Lowe (1-5-6) scored for the Condors; 10 of Bakersfield’s 26 goals this postseason have come from blueliners… Shane Starrett (3-3, 2.75, .893) allowed three goals on 12 shots before being replaced by Stuart Skinner (1-0, 2.78, .903) for the second straight game… San Diego is 4-0 on the road this postseason — including two wins in Bakersfield to begin the series — and has nine victories and two overtime losses in its last 11 away from home… The Gulls were 2-for-7 on the power play in Game 4 and are 5-for-14 (35.7 percent) in the series… The Condors were 0-for-3, dropping to 1-for-9 (11.1 percent) in the series… Eighteen teams in Calder Cup Playoff history have come back from 3-1 down to win a series, most recently Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in 2013 (vs. Providence).

In the IIHF World Championship in Slovakia yesterday, Kevin Lankinen made 20 saves to backstop Finland to a 3-1 win over Canada… Lankinen made 19 appearances with the AHL’s Rockford IceHogs in 2018-19… Patrik Rybar stopped 25 shots in Slovakia’s 4-1 win over the United States… Rybar played 37 games with the Grand Rapids Griffins this season… Nikita Kucherov tallied a goal and two assists as Russia beat Norway, 5-2… Jakub Vrana notched a pair of goals as the Czech Republic beat Sweden, 5-2.
