The New Devils and Taylor Hall not talking yet

Luke Fox: Taylor Hall said that there have been no contract talks with New Jersey Devils GM Ray Shero. He is eligible to sign a contract extension on July 1st, but Hall said that neither side is in a rush to get a deal done.

The Calgary Flames have their goalie?

Eric Francis: Last July 1st the Calgary Flames wanted to add size and had an agreement in place with Ryan Reaves before he re-signed with the Golden Knights. The Flames would still like to add some size.

Pierre LeBrun: Goaltender Cam Talbot and the Calgary Flames seem like a good fit. Talbot still talking to teams and the Flames are considering all their options, but there is a decent possibility they get a deal done.

The Vancouver Canucks talking to Schenn

Rick Dhaliwal: The Vancouver Canucks are still talking with free agent defenseman Luke Schenn. They are still in the mix.

Teams interested in Boyle

Pierre LeBrun: The Edmonton Oilers are one of five or six teams that have shown interest in Brian Boyle.

Pierre LeBrun: Believe the Buffalo Sabres are one of the teams interested in Boyle.

Brian Hedger: Brian Boyle has a good history with the Columbus Blue Jackets coach John Tortorella and would be a solid fourth line center for them.

Brian Hedger: The Columbus Blue Jackets do not any interest in free agent forward Jason Spezza at this time.

Aaron Portzline: The Blue Jackets were among the teams that Joe Pavelski decline to speak to.

Brian Hedger: The Blue Jackets have spoken with the agent for UFA forward Marcus Johansson.

Aaron Portzline of The Athletic: The Columbus Blue Jackets have been contacting some free agent forwards to make up for the likely loss of Artemi Panarin and Matt Duchene.

Anders Lee, Mats Zuccarello and Gustav Nyquist could be options for the Blue Jackets.
