Sabres, Elie agree to terms on one-year contract

The Buffalo Sabres have agreed to terms with forward Remi Elie on a one-year, two-way contract.

Elie, 24, recorded eight goals and six assists for 14 points in 25 games with the AHL’s Rochester Americans last season. He also tallied one assist in 16 NHL games with the Sabres.

A second-round selection by Dallas in the 2013 NHL Draft, Elie has skated in 146 regular-season games in the AHL with Rochester and Texas, notching 24 goals and 36 assists for 60 points. He has added two goals and seven assists in 26 postseason games, reaching the Calder Cup Finals with the Stars in 2018.

In 106 NHL games with Buffalo and Dallas, Elie has tallied seven goals and 15 assists for 22 points.
