Checkers sign forward Louis

The Charlotte Checkers announced the signing of forward Anthony Louis to an AHL contract.

Louis, 24, notched 12 goals and 22 assists for 34 points in 74 games with the AHL’s Rockford IceHogs last season.

As a rookie in 2017-18, Louis led the IceHogs in both assists (30) and points (44) and helped the club reach the Western Conference Finals.

A sixth-round pick by Chicago in the 2013 NHL Draft, Louis has totaled 27 goals and 54 assists for 81 points in 157 career AHL games with Rockford.
