The New York Rangers have acquired defenseman Nick Ebert, along with a fourth-round choice in the 2021 NHL Draft, from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for forward Vladislav Namestnikov.

Ebert, 25, made his 2019-20 season debut with the AHL’s Belleville Senators on Saturday. He has skated in 158 career AHL games with Belleville, Texas, Ontario and Manchester, totaling 19 goals and 32 assists for 51 points.

Ebert has also skated in six AHL playoff games and was a member of Manchester’s 2015 Calder Cup championship team.

Ebert was originally a seventh-round pick by Los Angeles in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. He signed with Ottawa on June 10, 2019, after two seasons in Europe.
